Overview

Vrol Kōv Gri was founded durring the late 17th century in late spring of the year 1566, by Batruc. The establishment of Vrol Kōv Gri was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Vrol Kōv Gri's construction back out of the project. Batruc pushed on reguardles, and Vrol Kōv Gri was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Vrol Kōv Gri was built using the conventions of Wood Elf durring the late 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Vrol Kōv Gri is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Vrol Kōv Gri is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of crampt packed earth streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The city is protected by a renforced stone fence which sits atop earthwork defences, for some of the best inexpencive defences a city of Vrol Kōv Gri's size could have. Vrol Kōv Gri's well-designed, yet cheep has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Vrol Kōv Gri is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the city like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife.

Cultural Notes

Vrol Kōv Gri's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

History

Almost every community has some problem with bandits and highwaymen, but Vrol Kōv Gri is seriously plagued with raiders. One or more groups of persistent plunderers are hitting the community repeatedly, and they lack the necessary resources to fend them off or protect all their holdings.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Vrol Kōv Gri was attacked by a group of notorious bandits. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Vrol Kōv Gri lost 166 people, 149 livestock, and 98 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 77, when members of Vrol Kōv Gri's militia enacted an operation to rescue a specific religious figure from the enemy. The operation was complicated by the enemy forces had far more numbers than estimated. The conflict ended with a last stand against the enemy until a particular event occurred, which ended in victory for Vrol Kōv Gri's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Vrol Kōv Gri's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
